Chinese New Year or the Lunar New Year, is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first lunar month in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th. In 2008, the first day of the Chinese calendar is on February 7th, while in the 12-year cycle of the animal zodiac, it is the Year of the Rat, the 1st place of animal zodiac.
To celebrate this important festival, SBTG
is proud to teamed up with Mr..SK (Samplekickz) to release the first animal zodiac pack, The Royale Rat Pack SBTG x Samplekickz 08, on KIX-FILES exclusively. In Chinese, the number 8 is considered lucky (for its homophone for "wealth"), as a result. The Rat Pack comes with 18 pairs in total (for its homophone for "must be wealthy"), 9 pairs for each model. The color red and gold are liberally used in all decorations. Red envelopes or Red packets are passed out during the Chinese New Year's celebrations, from married couples or the elderly to unmarried juniors with the meaning of good fortune. The concept is applied on the Rat Dunk.

The tunnel rats were American, Australian and New Zealander soldiers who performed underground search and destroy missions during the Vietnam War.
