於新加坡的新店還不賴,
So, the Guys from SURRENDER / AMBUSH have moved out
and into a new shop location.
SURRENDER is a shop owned by Earn CHEN and James LAVELLE,
while AMBUSH is the first shop opened
in Singapore about street culture (also by Earn).
Originally based in the eclectic FAR EAST MALL,
these shops sat amidst a concoction of fake goods
and bustling hawker stalls.
AMBUSH and SURRENDER were
aliens injected into Singapore's favorite youth culture mall.
Over time, FAR EAST MALL became a kind
of LA FAYETTE STREET,
HARAJUKU area, or ST HONORE STREET
in Singapore but alas,
the guys decided to move out and into a fresh territory.
Their new shop is placed within
a typical Singapore shop house
(design inspired by the uk colony history) with two floors.
On street level is an art gallery while
the second floor houses SURRENDER (black design)
and AMBUSH (white design). You will find all the best
and exclusive brands as before :
KOSTAS, GIMME5, GOOD ENOUGH UK, UNKLE,
PAM, KAWS, RECON, SUBWARE,
and the exclusive co-branding (UNKLE, MHI etc).
Adding to the list are home-made brands such as SURRENDER,
sneakers customized by SBTG, ROYALE FAM
Collectively, SURRENDER / AMBUSH
are a big family significant to Singapore's growing street culture
Regardless of your purpose in Singapore,
be it on transit or for the holidays,
the store is a must have to visit.
